#Ad - The past few days of rainy weather had me craving warm comfort food. When I saw @everettandjones and their big red awnings and inviting inside decor - tons of huge plants and vintage items - I had to try it. Dish after dish, side after side, and it all looked, smelled, and tasted so good. This was a meal that hit the spot. The table next to me had some curious onlookers, so I invited them over to help pour some bbq sauce for a photo op. Shared some food, had some fun with the photos, and I had two new friends! The restaurant does a pretty cool thing where every night after closing they heat the extra and leftover food up so it is at piping hot temperatures and serve it to the homeless. I was so thrilled to learn my gluttony would not be wasted. #Ad - Oakland is home to an incredible culinary scene. For dinner, I was craving really good Mexican food. When I saw Agave Uptown specialized in Oaxacan, I had to go! Tacos, tlayudas, tostadas. A seriously epic mezcal selection. Fun vibrant cocktails. Edible flowers. Food created with care and love you can taste with each bite. One of the best mole recipes I have tried, passed down through multi-generations.
