#ad Reinterpreting Venus was never about copying. From the very beginning, I knew I didn’t want to recreate the original, but to find my own way of inhabiting it. This dress was the starting point. The moment I saw it, something clicked… the silhouette, the movement, the presence… and the idea came almost instantly. A contemporary Venus, perhaps less mythological, but just as self-aware. The pose, however, was another story. Finding the balance between reference and originality took longer than expected. I couldn’t copy it, but I didn’t want to drift too far away either. At some point… it simply appeared. Many of you know I usually hide bees in my images 🐝 This time, I didn’t.
