Yesterday I was talking to one of my friends about my tennis lessons. I told her I loved it a lot. It can be enjoyable and a great workout. But, I love it so much because it challenges me to be more patient with myself. It takes so long and a lot of practice to even see the slightest improvement. I am type-A and a bit high strung (Michael is prob laughing reading that), so it is frustrating when I put effort into something, and it doesn’t come easily. I easily could’ve let myself quit tennis lessons and try something else, but instead, I’ve been increasing my practice time, watching webinars, and reading about techniques. When I see even the tiniest improvement, I feel so accomplished. I've been trying to put the same thought into my career and business. In the age of social media, if we don’t get instant gratification, we lose interest. I’ve been guilty of this sometimes. I say all this to say, I know some of you have a dream, and you are scared to pursue it, or you've stopped trying because there have been challenges or something just isn't coming that easy to you.
