This fantastic page turning book is now available from today. One of the characters in this book draws maps of places that mean something to them. So I will be posting my special places over the next week. My first special place is my bedroom as this is where I've been reading this book and is my go-to place when I need peace and quiet. Also, growing up as a child, I had to share a bedroom with one of my siblings. The main character in this book, Kier, has had a very dark and troubling past, which brings about lots of thought-provoking events. She draws maps of prominent places and events in her life, which turns out to be a blessing in disguise. I found this book interesting on another level as it explores the relationships between siblings, brothers, and sisters. This had me thinking about my relationship with my brother, also places that hold something dear to me. I couldn't put this book down, yet at the same time, I wanted to savour it to. Whilst this book is centred around dark events, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. A brilliant read. The Wilds by Sarah Pearse is now available in bookstores and online. With clear instructions it suited all ages, adding the ingredients to reveal the beast! The children loved being able to recreate the experiments, using the refill pack. I do think that for the price it is a big investment, but with Christmas coming I can see it being popular. I would definately like to be able to change the ‘beast’ to keep the continued excitement. I received this Tiger Moon day and night skincare set from Comeround and TigerMoon in exchange for my honest review. Day serum & spf The day serum is formulated to soothe, smooth, and improve the elasticity in the skin. After using it for the past 2 weeks, I have noticed that my skin is well hydrated, especially at this time of the year when my forehead, in particular, can become more dry. It's also leaves my skin feeling really soft. I haven't noticed much difference in the elasticity of my skin. The serum itself is quite thick but does absorb well into my skin. Day cream. I like that it contains spf and doesn't leave a white cast as it is a cream like consistency. It also contains squalane and niacinamide, which help to hydrate and reduce & calm skin irritations. I felt a nice soothing effect when using this day cream, and together with the day serum, they didn't make my oily combination skin more oily or shiny. Night cream and serum The soothing effects I felt from the cream in particular was great. It felt so good when applying it. They both contain retinol. As I've used retinol before, they did not irritate nor disrupt my skin. Together, they gave me a lovely glow and hydrated it well. I did find that that as the night serum is quite thick, I did sometimes find it difficult to get the right amount of serum out of the pippet. The outlet on the pippet could be bigger. Overall, the main differences that I have noticed from using these day and night creams and serum are the glow, hydration, smoother skin, and soothing effects. I've not noticed much difference in the reduction of my fine lines, but it has only been 2 weeks. They have not made my oily combination skin more oily, and there have been some improvements in the reduction of my dark marks.
